What is a task in Keruy

A task is your main tool for managing personal and team affairs in Keruy. It allows you to set goals, control the execution process, assign responsible parties, and analyze the results

Where can I create a task

The "Tasks" section is located in the main menu on the left. Here you can view the complete picture of planned, active, completed, and overdue tasks

All created tasks are displayed in the table form on the main page. You can customize the table view on your own using filters or switch to other display modes - "Calendar" or "Assignees"

How to add a new task?

To add a new task, you should click the "+Add" button, which is located in the top left part of the page

After that, the task creation form will open, consisting of four main blocks

  1. Title - briefly describe the essence of the task (for example: "Approve technical requirements", "Pay bill", "Purchase equipment", etc.). In the "Details" field, you can add notes or other important information that is not provided in the form fields.

  2. Status - one of the most important tools when working with tasks. It is the status that determines the state of task execution. The assignee changes the status independently according to the work performed. There are only 6 statuses available for tasks in Keruy

  • Planned - the task does not require immediate execution, but it is important not to forget about it

  • Pending - all issues and terms are agreed upon, the task is waiting to start execution

  • In Progress - the assignee has started performing the task

  • Blocked - objective difficulties have arisen in execution (for example, lack of resources, external circumstances, etc.)

  • Completed - the task is finished by the assignee

  • Approved - the result has been verified and accepted by the task creator. This status is only available to the creator, used for quality control and confirming work completion

  1. Execution - contains information about the creator and the assignee of the task. The creator is determined automatically - this is the current user. You can also add one or more assignees. If you check the box in the "Open" field, members (employees) will be able to self-assign themselves as assignees for this task

If the task execution implies a monetary reward, you can specify the incentive amount when creating the task

After its completion, you will have the ability to create a compensation accrual in one click, which will generate organizational expenses. For the final settlement with the assignee, only the "Cash Out" document remains to be created

  1. Time Interval - an important tool for controlling work execution. You set a time interval (date, hour, minute) for executing the task, and Keruy will not let you forget about it

For example, if the status of your task is "Pending", and according to the set time interval the task should have already been "In Progress", the delay will be immediately displayed in yellow in the general list of tasks

The task creator and assignee will receive a notification in "Communications" about the need to start work

In addition to the time interval for task execution, you can set a reminder with a specific date and time

To save all entered data in the fields and finish the process of creating a new task, you should click the "Create" button

How to edit a task

To make changes to a task, you need to click on its number in the general list

After this, a form similar to the task creation form will be displayed, where you can make changes in the relevant fields, modify time intervals or assignees, add notes, etc.

How to open a task card

To go to the task card, you need to click on its title in the general list

By opening the task card, you can make changes to general information, view communication regarding the task, add files if needed, change status or assignees, and clone the task

How to delete a task

To delete a task, you need to click on the "Danger" field (the field following the "Time Interval" field) in the edit form or in the task card and confirm the action
