Locations

Locations in Keruy™ are external storage spaces for products or equipment used to control stock balances and facilitate subsequent sales. In simple terms, these are external warehouses.

Their purpose:

  • accounting for locations of temporary or external storage of goods

  • recording objects where work is performed or services are provided

  • temporary placement of materials and tools outside the warehouse

Location

The tool for configuring locations is located on the left navigation panel, in the "Settings" section, under the "Accounting" block

The list of locations is displayed in a table format. Its appearance can be customized according to your own criteria using filters, columns, and other tools. Here, the creation, editing, and basic configuration of locations are carried out for further work with goods, balances, and warehouse documents

Adding

You can add a new location by clicking the "+Add" button on the main page

Form for creating a location

  1. Name - the name of the location

  2. Accountable person - the responsible person (a member of your Keruy™ space)

  3. Notes - a field for additional information

Location Card

The location card contains a series of tabs located in the top menu and work tools in the top right part of the page

  1. Main

    The main page of the location. Here you can review all general information about the location and the latest documents

  2. Accounting

    Data regarding processes carried out with products. Here you can view all documents where the selected location is used


  3. Files

    An archive of uploaded files or images, used for storing document scans, warranty cards, or quality certificates, etc.


  4. Properties

    these are additional criteria, custom fields created by the Keruy™ user depending on the needs and agreements between the parties (for example, these could be delivery times, etc.)


  5. Details

    General information about the location that is added during creation. Here you can change the location's name, add notes, assign a responsible/accountable person, or, if necessary, delete the record

    Deleting a location is only possible if the user has the relevant access rights and there is no linked data. If an inventory item, warehouse documents, or other dependent information is linked to the location, deletion will be unavailable

Location in documents

In most Keruy™ documents related to inventory and warehouse management, when creating a document, you need to select a warehouse (this could be a warehouse for receipt, transfer, etc.). Out of the proposed list of available warehouses, locations are also displayed

Information about the location/warehouse to which the document belongs is contained directly in the document. Clicking the icon at the end of the "Warehouse" field will automatically redirect you to that warehouse or location

Adding members

Members are company employees who are granted access rights to specific information. Unlike an accountable person, you can assign multiple members to a location

Archiving

Since deleting a location is impossible if there is linked data, the record can be moved to the archive. This allows you to remove the location from active use without losing important information and transaction history
